We covered quite a bit today. Could you list 3 suggestions or tips you would recommend to indie devs based on our discussion?

  1. Identify the core game pillars of your games design. Think about how each mechanic, UI, feature supports your pillars. It will make the game feel more cohesive.
  2. Share your work. Online and in person. No one is going to just stumble on you and your game. You need to build your own platform and consistantly share your work. Be proud of what you achieved.
  3. Take a break. Games are hard to make. Ensure you are setting yourself time to socialise with friends and be with loved ones. More often than not, that elusive bug is resolved immediately after stepping away for a day.
